Access
to History Online has been developed in response to overwhelming
demand from schools and colleges all over the UK. The site was launched
in
2005, and has since been updated to reflect the changing specifications
for
2007 exams and beyond.
The highly-targeted nature of Hodder Murray’s Access
to History series for AS
and A2 has made it a natural basis for the development of this site.
Examiners from the awarding bodies, many of them already
authors for the
book series, have provided the sort of specialised help that students
– and
even teachers – need to be able to navigate the ins and outs of
the AS and A2
history specifications.
Featuring carefully-written and vetted sample questions,
and model answers,
examiners’ analysis, mark schemes and advice, Access to
History Online is
designed in such a way as to allow users to select the content that’s
relevant
to them. Subscribers use a unique username and password to access content
that’s specific to their needs, any time and anywhere.
A broad range of topics has been provided, and is being
added to all the time,
making Access to History Online
one of the most comprehensive resources
available for AS and A2 History. See the site
map for links to key sections, or
click here for topic overviews for OCR, AQA
and Edexcel.
The reputation of the books in the Access to History
series – for meticulous writing
and editing, accessible language and meaningful coverage of topics –
is carefully
guarded. We have aimed to ensure that the Access to History Online
modules
maintain this high standard.
Subscribing to Access to History Online
couldn’t be simpler. Your once-off payment
of £299 + VAT gives you a licence to use the material as often and
for as long as
you wish. If and when the specifications change, we will ensure that the
site is fully
updated and will make a new licence available for purchase by centres.
