The AQA History AS/A2 specification
The sample unit available for non-subscribers is AQA’s
Module 5 British History topic, Alternative U,
Britain 1951-1997.
It is one of the six modules that count towards their Advanced Award,
6041, and is therefore examined in the second year of advanced level history.
Candidates answer one compulsory 2-part source-based question, plus one
of six synoptic essay questions focusing on historical explanation and
judgement, on the chosen option from Alternatives M to U.
